Our poultry waste management system is a process that converts waste animal tissue into stable, value-added materials. Rendering can refer to any processing of animal products into more useful materials, or more narrowly to the rendering of whole animal fatty tissue into purified fats like lard or tallow.
The process simultaneously dries the material and separates the 2 fat from the bone and protein. A rendering process yields a fat commodity (yellow grease, choice white grease, bleachable fancy tallow, etc.) and a protein meal (meat and bone meal, poultry byproduct meal, etc.).
Fresh Cut Rendering
Freshcut rendering process of animal mortalities involves conversion of carcasses into three end products—namely, carcass meal (proteinaceous solids), melted fat or tallow, and water—using mechanical processes (e.g., grinding, mixing, pressing, decanting and separating), thermal processes (e.g., cooking, evaporating, and drying), and sometimes chemical processes (e.g., solvent extraction).
The main carcass treatment processes include size reduction followed by cooking and separation of fat, water, and protein materials using techniques such as screening, pressing, sequential centrifugation, solvent extraction, and drying. Resulting carcass meal can be used as an animal feed ingredient. Tallow can be used in livestock feed &production of fatty acids or can be manufactured into soaps.
OUR FIRST PROJECT
Freshcut Organic Products is the first company in India to win a tender bid to collect, transport and process poultry waste from slaughterhouses and poultry shops from an entire district of Calicut, Kerala for the next ten years. Calicut will be the first district in India to be completely eradicated from the problem of slaughterhouse waste and its harmful effects once Freshcut is fully operational.
After Calicut, Freshcut Rendering plants will be coming up in Malappuram, Thrissur, Palakkad and Kottayam to meet the growing issue of poultry waste materials in Kerala..
Freshcut Organic products will be placing Freezers in all the slaughter houses and poultry shops for storing the waste materials without decaying. The refrigerated trucks operated by Freshcut will be doing rounds to collect these waste materials in specially manufactured recyclable plastic bags. These waste materials will be carefully transferred to our state of the art facility without causing any spillage thereby avoiding the risk of foul odour and atmospheric pollution. Our state of the art transportation system is one of a kind in India with specially made reefer trucks supplied by Bharatbenz, Tata & Isuzu Motors.
Treatment Of Poultry Waste – The Process
The conventional rendering is generally considered most effective & profitable method of disposing waste since the meat meal out of waste has high Protein content (60%) & Fat (20%). The meat meal is sold as a valuable byproduct.
